REVIEW: Terry Pratchett's "Death" Series (Mort, Reaper Man, Soul Music, Hogfather, & Thief of Time)

[SPOILER FREE REVIEW OF TERRY PRATCHETT'S DEATH SERIES] Wow. Just, wow. At around 8:45 tonight (March 11th, 2025), I read the concluding page of  Thief of Time , by Sir Terry Pratchett. This concluded my reading of the Death  Series which has been, to my utmost surprise and joy, an absolutely revitalizing read! Let me explain. The series that I am reviewing tonight is the work of Sir Terry Pratchett, a British author most famous for his comedy fantasy universe: Discworld. The Discworld Universe is vast, spanning 41 different novels and selling tens of millions of copies worldwide! Each book in the universe tells a standalone story, usually involving one or multiple of a core group of "protagonist" characters. The Death  series follows a couple such protagonists--most namely Death and Susan--across a myriad of wacky adventures. The books are written in a fun tone, with stories that are both simple enough to follow along with after a long day and deeply thought-provoking. B...

đź’—Thinking ahead

Hello everyone!! Today's been a weird day. It is now spring break, and the weather is incredible! Just last week, we were battling 40+ mph blizzards and whatnot, before a dramatic snap into the 70's we're seeing this week. I ran a few miles at track this morning, got a haircut, and then... spent most of my day in a daze. I touched on this topic a bit in my last post, but I'm going to go in a bit more emotional depth here. Within the next month and a half, I will be making a decision on where to go to college. I will be taking my final IB exams within a month after that, and then, in a couple/few months I will be leaving the house to start my adult life. This is something that I am finding to be not just stressful, but confusing. There was a time when I felt like attending Lincoln High School was a major mistake. Every day, I would miss my middle-school friends, as I watched them text about shared teachers and experiences in our group chats. I felt both alone and unsure ...
